Following on from the success of the 2010 Fully Sussed evening races held at Haldon Forest, the Mid Devon Cycling Club will be organising three evening Go-MTB races for 2011. The races are all on Wednesday evenings, spaced throughout the season. Run as Go-MTB races, there will be racing for all ages from 12 upwards, including a fun category for those just trying out racing for the first time.

Haldon Forest is well known in the South West for the fast and flowing singletrack trails that have been built there. The network of signposted trails has recently grown providing even more options for the courses. As the plans are made for the races this page will be updated so check back regularly for more information.

Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third in all categories with further spot prizes decided by race officials. If your just getting into racing then the Open category is for you, 40 minutes of racing instead of 60 minutes so take your pick.

If your interested in helping out with the races then feel free to contact the club via email offroad@mdcc.org.uk or on 01803 550279. Anyone helping out will gain free entry to one of the rounds for themselves or their club. On line entry is now available via XCRacer or use the standard MTB event entry form below and send to Haldon Evening Series, 100 Marldon Road, Paignton, TQ3 3NJ, cheques made payable to 'MDCC' please.

News

14/07/2011    Early results of round 3 posted.

14/06/2011    Reduced the race fee for Juveniles and Youths to £5 for the next round.

29/04/2011    Went up to Haldon to plan the course for the 18th of May. The single track in the photo on the left, under the 'Go Ape' rope bridges, will be in there again but the rest will be different. Expect a lap of approximately 2.5 miles. I'll need to time it to work out the number of laps.

01/03/2011    The course map GPS file have been removed while the final route details are worked out. More details in a week or so!

15/02/2011    Online entry now available on http://www.xcracer.com
